Maravel Arts Center
Our story begins with Rosie O’Donnell. Rosie’s young life was abruptly changed at the age of ten when she suffered the profound loss of her mother. Exposure to Broadway theater and performing arts became her anchor.
A few caring teachers, most significantly Pat Maravel, took her under their wings. Rosie believed that she truly mattered as much as any other child. That’s when Rosie found her voice, and that voice had something to express.
So, meet those dancing feet on 45th Street, home of RTKids’ Maravel Arts Center (MAC). Named in memory of Pat Maravel, Rosie’s cherished and beloved teacher, this is a place of miracles and magic!
The Center places RTKids alongside Broadway’s great theatrical houses, including the Hirschfeld, Jacobs, and Minskoff theaters.
